4 days and 3 nights Bandipur Ancient Magar village Tour (PALPA-N):


Bindipur is situated at the altitude of 1000m. about 143km. west of Kathmandu and 85km. east of Pokhara at the top of hill settlement in Tanahu District. There is ancient village of ethnic Magar and Newar people.

Bindabasinee Temple is an important temple of Bandipur, It is the home of goddess Durga, where local people sacrify cock,duck,goat, during the Dashain festiveal. This is the guardian deity of Bindipur. Mahalaxmi temple is the second important temple of this village.
Bandipur is the best place to observe natural beauty of mountainous view, Marshyandi river, Sunrise and Sunset as well as wide panorama of mountains including Mt.Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. Moreover, the biggest cave of Asia, named Siddha Cave situated at Bandipur, which is 750 meters long. It was discovered in 2052 BS. Beside these, it is also best place for Paragliding.

 Tentative Program
 
Day 1:
Departure from Kathmandu to Bandipur, 143km. distance 4hrs. by private vehicle.
Visit ancient village, Bindabasini Temple, the home of goddess Durga, Mahalaxmi and Khadga Devi Temple, where during the festival, lot of scarifies take place, hundreds of devotees, played horn-bells,colourful decoration of the temple.
Standard hotel included.

Day 2:
After breakfast, hiking to Siddha Cave, which is 750 meters long and biggest cave in Asia. About 20 years ago, it was discovered by local people. Walk down to Bimalnagar, ethnic Newar village. Drive back to Bandipur.

Day 3:
Hike to Ramkot ethnic Magar village, discover lifestyle and their typical culture. From this village, if the weather is clear, we can see snow peaks of Annapurna and Manaslu range. Hike back to Bandipur village, 5hrs.

Day 4:
Departure to Kathmandu by private vehicle 5hrs.
