4 days and 3 nights Bardia National Park (BIRD4-N):

Bardia National Park is situated about 420 km. in the mid far western Terai and east of Karnali River. It covers about 950sq.km. and spread to inner valley with tropical dry land to Churia hills. Most of land is covered with dominantly hardwood sal tree, Gignatic Simal trees and forest of grassland. The park provides excellent habitat for endangered animals, birds and reptiles. The reserve is the best place to see Bengal Tiger.
During the Jungle drive or Elephant Safari in Bardia, you can observe more than 30 different mammals, 200 species of birds, reptiles as well as aquatic animals. The animals like one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, Sambhar deer, Swamp Deer (Barasinghe), Hog deer, Blue Bull (Nilgai), Wild Boar, wild oxen. Serow, Goral and Himalayan Tahr, Langur (monkey), Mongoose, large number of birds, different species of storks, Jungle fowls, King-fishers, Cormorants, Egret, Bengal florican, Silver-eared Mesia and Saurus crane. Those are the most popular attraction of this national park.
Bardia (Babai village) is inhabitant of indigenous people Rana Tharu group. They are professional farmers having good knowledge of agriculture. They have their own mother language, most of Tharu have joint family. Tharus are rich in their culture and tradition. They perform traditional marriage arranged by family member. They have practice of Hinduism as well as Buddhism. They worship various gods in the form of animals and also they have their own traditional god and animal's blood offer during the worship their traditional god. According to the month and season, they perform different kinds of folk songs and folk dances.

 Tentative Program
 
Day 1.
Departure from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by plane or Kathmandu to Ambas by local bus. Some one will wait at airport or Ambas bus stop. Transfer to the lodge, offered welcome drinks. At same time, guide explains the program.
00: Ethnic Tharu Village tour, discover Tharu culture, their life style, tradition.
00: Visit Tharu Cultural Museum, where you can see local handicrafts, household articles, dress, ornaments etc.
00: Dinner

Day 2.
00: Breakfast
00: Elephant Safari (on the back of elephant).
00: Crocodile Breeding Center.
00: Lunch
00: Jungle walk with professional naturalist, who explains about the different kinds of flora and fauna, excellent opportunity to take photos of wild animals, mammals and birds from tower (Machan).
00: Dinner

Day 3.
00: Breakfast
00: Bird watching, accompanied by naturalist, discover many species of birds, depends up to season, you may have a chance to see Royal Bengal Tiger while watching birds and other mammels.
00: Lunch
00: Jeep Safari in the dense forest of the National Park, excellent chances to see endangered wild animals, mammals and birds.
